Generating sufficient amounts of in vitro-transcribed RNA for downstream analysis can be hampered by the purification process, requiring the process to be repeated many times to generate sufficient amounts of material.

Robust Yields of RNA

Many functional genomics and expression analysis experiments require large quantities of RNA. The quantity of RNA isolated from a source of interest is often insufficient, and traditional in vitro transcription methods do not produce adequate yields. For these situations, the RNAMaxx™ high yield transcription kit is the perfect solution. RNAMaxx kit is designed to produce large quantities of RNA from a variety of DNA template lengths. Just 1 µg of template can yield 90 µg or more of RNA transcript in only two hours (Figure 1). To demonstrate the performance of this kit, we compared the RNAMaxx high yield transcription kit with kits from two competitors using a 1.8-kb template. Figure 1 shows that after two hours, significantly higher yields were obtained using the  RNAMaxx transcription kit.

Easily Purify Transcribed RNA

The Absolutely RNA® RT-PCR miniprep kit can be used to purify in vitro-transcribed RNA generated using in vitro transcription kits such as the RNAMaxx kit. Following the transcription reaction, the Absolutely RNA miniprep kit easily purifies the in vitro-transcribed RNA away from the reaction components that can complicate downstream assays. Using customized spin cups minimizes potential loss of RNA during the procedure. Additionally, all the necessary reagents—including a lyophilized DNAse that allows these kits to be stored at room temperature—are supplied with every kit. Absolutely RNA kits deliver a streamlined protocol so there are no cumbersome steps to isolate pure RNA, saving you valuable research time. The kit also offers a fast and easy way to purify total RNA from cells and tissues (Table 1).
